Will the U.S. officially confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life by the end of 2026?

Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if, by December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET, the President of the United States, any member of the United States Cabinet, any member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, or any U.S. federal agency definitively states that extraterrestrial life exists. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." Resolution will primarily rely on official information released by the United States government. If necessary, a consensus of credible media reporting will also be used.
